Diversity in the Nutritional Values of Some Moringa oleifera Lam. Cultivars

This study aimed to assess the variations in nutritional attributes of thirteen Moringa oleifera cultivars. Leaves from six-month-old plants were harvested and tested for various attributes. There significant (p ≤ 0.05) differences carbohydrates, energy, some sugars, fibre amongst The levels moisture cultivars ranged 7.10% 8.20%. Additionally, there across microelements studied except zinc (Zn). These data revealed that different geographical provenances differed their adapting varied environments. In general, under same cultivation, management, environmental conditions, main reasons these occurring could be associated with genetic background each M. germplasm. However, cautions on properties, as have been reported not pharmacologically potent.
